In the blink of an eye...

Tonight we were reminded how fragile life is and how quickly it can be taken away. A good friend of ours was killed in an accident this morning leaving behind an amazing wife who is 7 months pregnant with their first child. A little girl. He had recently told Jeff how excited he was to have his two princesses. And now he's gone. He was such a good man and a loving husband and his wife adored him. He couldn't wait to be a daddy. I like to think that maybe he'll get to see his little princess before she comes down to comfort her mommy. I can't even imagine how his wife must be feeling right now. She's probably not. She's probably in such shock and disbelief...the grief will sink in later. Thankfully, through the power of the Priesthood, they were sealed together in the temple and she has the promise of having her family together throughout the eternities.

Life is too short. Too precious to take even one moment for granted. Because you never know what's going to happen. Anything and everything can change in a blink of an eye.

I am so grateful for Eternal families. Grateful for an amazing husband who is an incredible daddy (as I'm sure our friend would have been). He is my whole world, he and Scotty. I can't imagine life without them. I know that I can be with my family forever. This is a sad reminder that I need to work as hard as I can so I can be worthy of being with them forever. I love them so much. You both are My Everything.

Our prayers are with the Flanders family.
